7. Studio Etiquette (Continued)
Here at Wanderlust Pole & Aerial Studio, we are extremely mindful of how our students are treated in the studio. Everyone is different! There are two types of students – show ponies and girls who like to keep a low profile. We cater to both types.
However, there are some rules of respect, courtesy, and consideration that we ask every student to follow:
Warm Up and Cool Down: Always complete a thorough warm-up before class and a cool-down afterward. This ensures you avoid injury and perform to the best of your ability.
Personal Belongings: Please keep your personal belongings in the designated areas. Don’t leave bags, jackets, or towels lying around the studio.
Noise Levels: While we encourage fun and positive energy, please keep noise to a minimum to maintain a focused environment for all students.
Respect for Others: Respect fellow students’ personal space and boundaries. Always ask before using equipment or props that someone else is using.
Instructor Guidance: We strongly encourage you to listen to your instructors’ advice and follow their guidance. They are there to help you develop safely and effectively. If you need help during class, ask them.
Mobile Phones: Please turn off or mute your phone before class to avoid distractions. You are welcome to take photos or videos of your progress after asking the instructor for permission.
Arriving Late: If you are late to class, please enter quietly, and wait for a break in the lesson to join in. You may be required to warm up independently if you arrive after the class has started.
8. Safety
Your safety is our top priority. We require all students to follow proper technique and safety practices during class. Failure to do so may result in being asked to leave the class for your own well-being and the safety of others.
Use of Equipment: Always ensure that any equipment you use, whether it’s poles, aerial silks, hoops, or mats, is properly adjusted and safe for use. If you notice any damaged equipment, please inform the instructor immediately.
Physical Limitations: It is your responsibility to notify your instructor of any physical limitations, injuries, or concerns before class starts. Our instructors will assist in modifying exercises, but they need to know what’s going on.
Post-Class Safety: After class, be sure to cool down to prevent injuries and muscle strain. Stay hydrated and listen to your body.
